Since the X-Men films have become more of a franchise and Fox still owns the license, I doubt we will see anything but Hollywood style films from them.
With the success of Daredevil on Netflix, I believe they should follow suit and put X-Men on the streaming service. Television would be the only place for the vast majority of beloved characters from comics to get the appropriate screentime and recognition deserved.
Granted some of these actors would never be up for the part due to their age now, this fancast was done if that were not a factor, and some actors were in their prime. Also with a fancast you must consider this would be in line with a great writer, and director, though some of the actors may not look exactly like their comic book counterpart or too much like them, its about the director making someone look a certain way, and that actor being able to handle the material given.
I would start the series in the late 80's or early 90's, I think a contemporary vibe with these characters kind of defeats the purpose of when you look at the best story arcs and settings that they were featured in. To Fox's credit X-Men shined the most in other decades like the 60's and 70's (First Class, Days of Future Past).

Scott Summers/ Cyclops
I first saw Bomer in White Collar he played a criminal who served as a consultant to the feds on other thieves, and criminals. There quite a few episodes of his old exploits how his character would set up a heist or plan to steal an item.
Something always resonated with me that he could be Summers he has the look, and control, most films I know he has been were comical but sometimes people who do comedy shine in very serious roles, James Marsden who plays Cyclops know was pretty good in Sex Drive and does a decent job as Scott Summers.

Jean Grey/Pheonix
Everheart was a Spors Illustrated Swimsuit model turned actress, and had just a brief stint in television due to the fact of numerous health issues. In the few TV movies I did see her in she was obviously beautiful, but in some she was terrifyingly crazy.
Now there is as delicate balance with Jean Grey and alot of superheroines and on the big screen especially if they are beautiful to pull off the fierce look. From my personal perspective, you may notice really gorgeous women play strong or badass characters (Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson) but sometimes they never truly pull it off. You could blame the pretty face, too small or dainty, but it comes down to acting.
I just recently started watching Heroes (yeah I know I am years too late) anyway Ali Larter is pretty attractive in the role she plays as a schizophrenic with super strength. Larter isn't the best actress out there but she knows how to pull off the role, which can fall into typecasting territory but she has it.

Remy Lebeau/Gambit
Holloway found big success on Lost, and I will be completely honest I've only seen of handful of episodes, the show just wasn't for me.
For the few episodes I did watch of Lost, I knew instantly this dude was Gambit. The resemblance is uncanny, he has the natural southern drawl so learning a Cajun accent wont be too far of a stretch, more recently I have seen him in Sabatoge it wasn't a great film but he showed a lot of versatility from the character I saw in Lost to that in Sabotage.

Anna Marie/Rogue
I think I first saw Daddario in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film, she played a girl who inherited a home in a small southern town. Then I saw her again in an episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia. and was suggested True Detective by a friend which also featured her in it.
Out of the two times I really saw her on screen she could hold a pretty decent southern accent. When looking at Rogue you are looking at a southern-belle from the dirty south which she pulls it off quite well in True Detective. She has the curvaceous figure down and Rogue in any form of comic is not petite.
So a dynamic the films after 15 years never touched on was the Gambit/Rogue romance. One thing most fans overlook about the relationship is that Rogue is unattainable and Gambit is a former thief.
In relationships people like having what they can't, and to Gambit that usually isn't an obstacle until he meets Rogue, who can't come into human contact without killing you. So Gambit being a thief it would be incredibly difficult to resist the compulsion of having her, sort of like a taboo or forbidden fruit.
Rogue being on the hand of never wanting to get to close even if she did have an attraction to him due the guilt of maybe taking his life like she did with a boy when her powers first surfaced.
So how would the Ragin' Cajun get Rogue?

Ororo Munroe/Storm
Dunn is a British fashion model, I usually try to shy away from people with little to no acting experience. However there are critical factors that tremendously weigh in her favor for Storm.
She is a no name actress, meaning she wont be compared to any of her previous films and can be viewed as as another take on the character without preconceived biased. Also she would have very little creative control unlike the Oscar Award Winner Halle Berry who requested more screen time in X3, we all know how that film turned out.
She physically looks like the character, 5' 11", slender yet a slightly curvaceous figure, and would gracefully pull off the poses needed for Storm. Now looking, and acting are two different beasts but let's take her predecessor Halle Berry who is an excellent actress but her petite frame, height 5' 5", and the fact that she didn't want to keep an African accent after the first filmstood in the way.
In addition black women have little to no super heroines to relate to besides Storm (Marvel) and Vixen (DC), making it a key audience to get capture.
Jason Lewis

Warren Worthington/ Angel, Archangel
Lewis is a fashion model turned actor, like many other Marvel alumni, Chris Hemsworth (Thor), James Marden (Cyclops), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique). I have only seen him in small roles or at most a recurring character on a television.
What is core is that he can play either the really charming rich guy, or the pretty boy asshole which can be said about a lot of actors but he has the look and build of Angel/Archangel, and like my choice for Storm would be considered a no name actor until his big break.

Erik Lehnsherr/ Magneto
Roberts being a veteran actor and physically looking like the character makes him by far the most qualified out of anyone on the list.
I have seen numerous films, TV movies, miniseries, and recurring roles in television, featuring him and 90% of the time he plays an antagonist and rocks it. This dude accentuates power and dominance usually playing a blue blood (wall street type, business, mobster, or corporate exec). Magneto is a character that is entirely about superiority, prestige, and regalness (the sole reason why few Marvel characters have capes).
The mindset of this character, and why mutants are the homo-superiors to homo-sapiens deals with the with his personal conflict of loss during his time in the Nazi concentration camps. That he feels they are genetically called to lead the free world under his leadership as the stronger race, mutants a.k.a Children of the Atom.
